Ellen Barnard
Introducing Ellen Barnard, a passionate advocate for sexual health education and the proud owner of A Woman's Touch Sexuality Resource Center. Hailing from Madison, Ellen's expertise extends beyond sexual health as she also serves as a dedicated yoga instructor, specializing in yoga tailored for older individuals and those with osteoporosis. With a multifaceted background in health and well-being, Ellen brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her work.
“I enjoy giving people the information and tools to improve their minds and bodies in ways that they choose. I want to make yoga accessible to folks regardless of age and I strive to modify the practices so that those with a variety of abilities can experience the benefits of yoga. I chose to teach yoga because it can be an accessible way to experience better mental and physical health.”

Osteoporosis-safe Chair Yoga Class
Join us for a chair and standing-based yoga class focused on developing body awareness, improving balance and cultivating strength through poses that are safe for people with osteopenia and osteoporosis. You will be encouraged to focus on your mind, breath and body in ways that can carry through to your daily movement and stability.
60 minute hybrid practice allows you to participate in person at Wil-mar, online through Zoom, or by receiving a recording link to each class to practice at a time convenient for you. Live class is Fridays 10:45 - 11:45. If you practice from home you need a non-rolling chair without arms to use.
