Youth Programming

Pre-K Play and Learn

(Thursdays 10:00 am - 12:00 pm)

Play and Learn is a fun and interactive program that is offered free-of-charge for children ages birth to 3+ and their caregivers, who reside in the Madison School District.

The Play and Learn sessions provide a learning environment for families who may not have access to similar opportunities and who are not currently participating in similar programs. Children learn early math, literacy, and social skills through play and caregivers learn about child development, the importance of play, and parenting skills.

After School & Summer Camp

We provide affordable, in-person after school and summer programming for youth.

East Side Express

The Eastside Express (ESX) is a low cost, 7-week half-day summer camp for up to eighty (80) 7-12 year olds. ESX offers a host of recreational and cultural activities daily. In addition, the camp is structured to provide teens with first-experience employment as camp support staff.

Festival Internship Program

Teens will join Wil-Mar’s festival team and help plan and implement Madison's line-up of incredible summer festivals, with a focus on Fête de Marquette, in particular. This is a paid intern program and successful applicants will be introduced to the behind-the-scenes of festival and community event planning. In between festivals, interns will support efforts to maintain festival inventory supplies, property, and event landscapes.
